Valesti was created by the Star Army as one of the first batch of NH-27 Nekovalkyrja in YE 27.

After training, Tsukisaki served aboard an originally unnamed Yui-class Scout as a Starship Operator with some skills in science and piloting. She worked her way up the ranks with tireless devotion and a nearly spotless record, although she had no exceptional marks during her early career. After surviving the First Mishhuvurthyar War the repaired and refitted ship was christened the YSS Zanbaku. It did not fare as well in the Second Mishhuvurthyar War, eventually being damaged beyond repair. As one of the surviving veterans of the ship, she was gifted a Yui Scout Ceremonial Sword that she treasures and carries with her whenever appropriate. Continuing her career progress, she served as Star Army First Officer on the Rikei-Class Science Vessel YSS Paulownia before being given her first command position, as captain of the YSS Heartbreaker. This recently recovered and refitted ship has been out of service for nearly six years, and her experience on the bridge of a similar ship from that era helped lead to her appointment.
