Eyes and Facial Features: Being a “typical” Yamataian, he has black almond shaped eyes, sharp cheekbones and a pointed chin, giving his face a slightly triangular look. Subject to change upon mission profile.

Distinguishing Features: Being born in a rural isolated village of refugees from the Great Plague, he grew up in a community where eye contact was a massive taboo. He has difficulty meeting people's eyes for a period of time and often wears sunglasses in public to avoid the sobriquet of “shifty eyed”.

Personality: As a hunter in his village, Kakeru has learned to be patient since young. An impatient hunter is a hungry hunter. Due to the lack of social interaction while growing up, he is a little introvert and tends to keep things internalized.

Has a residual Trisylvanian reverence for trees, any damage to trees disturbs him massively, to the point where he is unable to start a campfire with wood.

Shinozaki Kakeru was born in YE 20 on Planet Yamatai in a village deep within the forests of Trisylvania. The 3rd of 3 brothers, he was often left to his own devices while growing up.

Like his name suggests, Shinozaki Kakeru (flighty) was never satisfied with staying his whole life confined in his village. Even while foraging with the other hunters, he would try to push the boundaries of how far he could travel. It was a foregone conclusion that when he reached the edge of the forest, he kept going.

Cities were a delightful discovery to the hunter from the countryside, literally an urban forest with huge herds, stone trees and challenging prey. And if he ever got bored, he could almost certainly be sure SAINT would have another world waiting in line for him to explore.

Due to his fascination with urban populations, Kakeru has a tendency to collect languages, which is hardly a problem with a digitalized brain. At present though, only Trade (programmed) and Yamataigo (learned) are spoken with any fluency, the rest is still at the babbling baby talk/point and name stage though he has plans to see if he can get programs for other languages as well.

As part of his upbringing, he is apt at living off the land, with a fair degree of proficiency in things like swimming, climbing, stalking, tracking, trapping etc.

Trained as a team sniper, he excels at the long shot and is good with a survival knife. Pistol and rifle proficiency are average thanks to the miracle of standard programming.

Besides the obvious “sneak in without anyone seeing”, SAINT training also included methods of disguise and infiltration into urban populations, setting up of surveillance and communications systems and methods of “breaking and entering”. Unfortunately, lockpicking and door hacking (other than the obvious explosives entry) are skills Kakeru remain poor at, simply being unable to get the knack of it for some reason or other.
