Kei was created in YE 32 on Hotaru Star Fortress during the Seventh Fleet's shakedown cruise as a NH-29. Having commenced her socialization in conjunction with training, and similar to many of the other second generation nekos in the Motoyoshi Clan, was then placed in the Kyoto War College to pursue the training required to become an officer. She upgraded to the Nekovalkyrja, Type 33 in YE 33 as soon as the new body type became available at the direction of her clan parents. In late YE 34 Kei met Motoyoshi Kaoru a brief acquaintance . Originally intending to join her friend in seeking assignment outside of the fleet, however, under the unchangeable and guiding direction of her mother and the remainder of the clan she decided to remain in the Seventh Fleet and anticipates to pursue her career path towards obtaining her own command.
