Legacy Bastion (Katsuko no Iori)

Katsuko no Iori, NK-X1-07 (formerly NK-S4-01) , is an Iori-Class Star Fortress. It was named after Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko. In YE 42, after it was transferred to the First Expeditionary Fleet it was redesignated as Legacy Bastion, the third of the Bastion Star Army Bases activated by the First Expeditionary Fleet. It was repositioned to the Gensou System, that same year.

Many starships, including YSS Ryoku, were built at Katsuko no Iori.

Katsuko no Iori has a branch office of the Kyoto War College.

Katsuko no Iori has a rich history in the Star Army of Yamatai.

• Katsuko no Iori was built and dedicated in YE 30.
• Katsuko no Iori was once the Headquarters for Fourth Fleet. During that time, it was stationed in the Taiie Nebula at the site of Taiie system.
• It was relocated to Tsuyosa in YE 32.
• In YE 33 work began on a Zodiac-Class Star Fortress to replace the aging star fortress. Taurus Star Fortress, that assumed the duties of this station. Katsuko no Iori was decommissioned and sent to the depot to be salvaged for scrap.
• In YE 34, the 12th SF was formed and Katsuko no Iori was saved at the last minute. The Star Fortress was recommissioned to be the Headquarters of the newly-formed fleet, and was moved to HX-2. It was intended to serve as a shipyard and supply base for operations against the NMX in the Hanako Cluster.
• In YE 36, Twelfth Fleet was disbanded and Katsuko no Iori was transferred to Second Fleet.
• In YE 41, Katsuko no Iori was transferred to Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko's newly rebuilt First Expeditionary Fleet. A Kikyo Pie Company also opened on the station that year.
• From YE 41 to YE 42 the Iori underwent refit and repairs in the Jiyuu System.
• In YE 42, Katsuko no Iori was redesignated Legacy Bastion and was moved to the Gensou System.

Inside Legacy Bastion.

The NECTAR (Nekovalkyrja Expeditionary Command & Tactical Analysis Room) is located in the heart of the fortress below the PANTheon Integrated Electronics System (PANT-IES) Core. From here the base commander or Taisho can command an entire fleet. The center of the oval-shaped room is lowered, in the center of which is a control table with volumetric projection capabilities; utilized for planning fleet movements, coordinating battlefield operations or any other mission-specific tasks. Stairs accessing the lower area are arranged at all four major compass points. Two lifts access the Command Deck located on either side of the fleet communications stations at the rear. The Iori’s central tactical, CFS, and engineering monitoring stations are arranged towards the front of the room, with damage control and logistics located respectively starboard and port.

A greenspace environment kept at Yamatai (Planet) standard with simulated daylight and night time environmental changes. The dome-like enclosure has large open grass areas, temperate forested areas and an artificial lake at its center. The park has been stocked with suitable flora and fauna native to Yamatai (Planet). Walking paths lead visitors through a circle of memorial models built in honor of different fallen Iori-Class Star Fortress; each model has a readout that tells the fateful story of each of the lost Fortresses and anyone who perished in their destruction.

All Production Facilities on Legacy Bastion have been updated to YE 42, allowing them to construct, repair and assemble all classes of Star Army of Yamatai vessels. Vessels too large for the production bays are produced using an exterior construction scaffolding system. Shipyards are managed by the Yugumo Corporation which has an affiliate agreement with Ketsurui Fleet Yards.

This Star Army Bases has an on-site vetted employee location of the Tokyo Brewing Company. It is a BrewPub location and its current menu is the Tokyo Brewing Company BrewPub Menu (YE 43). The location opened in YE 43.

Systems that have been added or upgraded are listed below.

The armored hull is composed of Yamataium Zesuaium Xiulurium-coated Zesuaium and Yamataium. The windows are made of transparent Zesuaium. All interior passageways and rooms are surrounded by Yarvex sheeting.

The Integrated CFS Array which provides functions such as propulsion, defense, and stealth is integrated into the hull. Also capillary connections to the Nodal Liquid Conduit System provide support for self annealing Yamataium and other repairs.

The Nodal Liquid Conduit System is system which replaces the former Hemosynthetic Conduit System and Nodal System and ties together systems such as the Hemosynthetic Reconstruction Tube, Fabrication and Repair Systems and Star Army Standard Life Support Systems.

The Star Army of Yamatai established a "Guriddo" Defense System as part of the Gensou System Defense Plan laid out by Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko in YE 42. The system assigned to Legacy Bastion includes:

• 20 Ke-H5-W3200 "Kyouheki" Defense Platforms each typically controls two Ke-H5-M3200 "Nesuto" Docking Platforms, but can handle more.
  • 10 Ke-H5-M3200 "Nesuto" Docking Platforms each with 18 Ke-H5-W3201 "Suzumebachi" Attack Drones
    • 180 Ke-H5-W3201 "Suzumebachi" Attack Drones
