Short, scrawny, and suspicious. Her short hair has been dyed black so long that most people who aren't related to her couldn't identify it's natural color. When she's out of uniform she hides in oversized faded black t-shirts or wards off strangers with spiked and studded leather jackets. Whether her hair, a jacket, a choker, or just her personality, Saga rarely goes in public without sporting spikes.

Supremely standoffish and supremely curious, Saga prefers to be left to her own devices. She is at her happiest when she is picking apart a puzzle. Her constant hunger for knowledge and inability to leave a door closed has gotten her into trouble many times in her life. She is more likely to form lasting bonds with people she is working towards a shared goal with or through a sense of mutual understanding than based off of shared hobbies or friendly banter.

Saga Lindqvist was born 10日 1月 YE 22 in Funky City on Planet Nepleslia. Raised by a single mother struggling with a Numb addiction, Saga learned to fend for herself at a very young age. Her troubled home life was mirrored at school. While she was a naturally gifted student, she struggled in her classes, often only barely passing. Additionally, her lack of conventional social graces led to her becoming the regular victim of bullying. She found refuge in the depths of the InterNep. A journey that started with chatrooms and fanfiction somehow ended with her her first forays into the murky world of hacking. In her teens, she joined a group calling itself Tortuga. Tortuga was less a formal organization then a loose collective of mostly non-malicious hackers generally hacking out of a sense of curiosity, competition, or youthful anti-corporate vigor.

One night in her late teens, instead of studying for finals, Saga sat at her computer working on what would become her biggest and most fateful hack. The Neplesian Arms and Munitions internal systems. A little social engineering here, some clever code there and she'd be in. It was a glorified smash and grab job. She just needed to copy some files that would prove she'd been in the system and leave behind a hidden note. Then everybody in Tortuga would know she was the most badass hacker of the bunch. She managed to penetrate NAM's systems and grab some files including a few improperly stored star ship designs. By luck or skill, NAM's cybersecurity team was able to identify and track her penetration attempt. A few days later, she found herself a smiling NSMC officer with a paternal face sitting on her bed explaining that she could either serve her early 20s in prison or in the Nepleslian military. Deciding the limited freedom of the military would be better than prison, she agreed and enlisted. Initially, she assumed she could just lay low as a cook or support specialist, collect a quick paycheck, and begin a new life. Powerful people had other plans for her however. That smiling NSMC officer, Colonel Bill Jackson, didn't care about more grunts joining the NSMC, he wanted her skills as a hacker.

Descriptions

• A small computer can be installed into the user's head. The computer can perform various functions such as process complex calculations, look up research data, link up with networks, and other features that a common portable computer is capable of. Data is uploaded to a small window seen by the user. The computer can download information via a dataport located on the user's head. Data can be transferred from another user or system.
