The Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia had a need for outfitting its prisoners of war that, despite the hospitable intents and purposes of the Nepleslian military, were forced to “free-ball” it until YE 40 or wear whatever was on hand at the time.

Nepleslia's Senate voted to follow the international POW standards in YE 30, which includes the item “[Prisoners] will be provided with clean clothing as needed.” It was a monumental day for Neplelsia and was followed by prisoner after prisoner enjoying the creature comforts of the infamously dubbed, “Red, White 'n' Ew” for its candy cane-like design that is has no aesthetic appeal whatsoever, nor should it.

The men and women of Nepleslia that were capturing prisoners of war, or POW, were unable to hold captives while also uniformly clothing them. Instead of allowing this problem to persist, tailors and creative directors were assigned to the task of creating a POW outfit in YE 39. It took no time at all to come up with a design. Field testing it has yet to occur.

On the person's front left chest breast is a patch with the word clearly marked, “Prisoner” and a serial number, if one has been given to the prisoner. The top is a short-sleeved, crew-neck, and loose-fitted shirt. The red and white striped shirt has about seven stripes of each color on it due to the width of the horizontal stripes.

The pants have about eleven stripes of either red or white and are, also, loose fitting.

The pair can be washed separately or together in any standard washing machine or by hand and any form of drying is acceptable. The fabric durable and doesn't tear very easily. The pants have an opening in the middle, “crotch” area and a plastic clasp that brings them together.
