The Adrast Type Heavy Torpedo is the 'main' or at least most powerful weapon on the adrast, designed to be capable of inflicting serious damage to ships of even the capital class in order to aid the defence of the Elysian systems. To this end the Torpedo launcher, which is central to the ship, fires a 6m (19.6 ft) long, 1m (3.2 ft), equiped with a SDG propulsion unit, rocket, shield, guidance computer and a two stage explosive. The two stage explosion functions by triggering a sub-space detonation, using the same principal as the Ke-M2-W2907-SDMM and AS-7-1-SDM which shuts down shields and FTL drives in the immediate area at which point the torpedo activates its rockets to propel it through where the shields would be before detonating with a 1 gigatonne explosion (from a 20 kg anti-warhead).
