The Subspace Detonation Drone is designed as a 'Force Multiplier' used by the Elysian Celestial Navy to give it a tactical advantage over its enemies, complementing its already advanced use of Interdiction technology and making use of what seemed to the Elysians an under utilised branch of technology.

Each of the Drones are spherical and 3 metre cubed, their surface painted black as so to confound at least visual sensors. They utilise the same technology used by the Ke-M2-W2907-SDMM and certain variants of the AS-7 - when the Drone detonates it creates a subspace detonation which serves to disrupt shields, wormholes and faster-than-light travel in a radius of 500 miles for a duration of six to eight seconds. In the modern combat arena that is sufficient to provide a significant tactical opening.

These Drones propel themselves through the use of a SDG (the Elysian version of the CDD), and provide themselves with limited defence in the same fashion in the form of a light shield. In behavior they act much like semi-intelligent missiles, guided either by their ship or by their own systems to take the route that is most likely to succeed, and to detonate at the opportune moment.
