Miniature sensor probes designed in YE 33 to assist with rapid assessment of system-wide situations for the Panopteles-Class Exploratory ship.
The Elysian Mini Probe is a .375m diameter ball, designed to be fired out of the El-Z1-1001 Missile Tubes and provide longer range for the ship's basic sensors by serving as data relays and remote sensor points to link directly into the base sensor systems. They are self-propelled via a very small CFS system (max speed .075c), but rely on the velocity and direction of their firing for primary transport. They can be recovered and reloaded if time permits, but can operate nearly indefinitely if not required to actively operate for more then an hour or so at a time.
