Asagumo-jo is a modern skyscraper palace owned by the Motoyoshi Clan. It is located at the heart of Asagumo City on Port Jiyuu.

When the process of designing Port Jiyuu began in YE 42, it was requested by Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko that the Green Sector of the station included a private residence for the Motoyoshi Clan. Since Jiyuu Jo is shared with the Star Army of Yamatai, the elders of the Motoyoshi Clan felt the need for the clan and its members to have some privacy.

The initial designs were submitted by Motoyoshi-Igarashi Yue, which were then given to Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko and Motoyoshi-Ieyasu Taro. They made changes and suggestions and sent the design plans back to Motoyoshi-Igarashi Yue and her mother Motoyoshi-Igarashi Yuka to finalize them.

In YE 43, the palace was constructed and completed early in the year and the Motoyoshi Clan established their residency. When the Colonization Initiative was announced in YE 44, the Motoyoshi Clan planned for increase usage of this residence since Port Jiyuu was going to be used as a colonization platform. Motoyoshi Kaoru refuses to keep a residence here and maintains her Midnight's Asagumo Pad instead.

Asagumo-Jo is at the center of Asagumo City. It is a one-hundred-and-eighty-six-level skyscraper with a narrow pyramid pagoda-style profile. Unlike most castles in the Yamatai Star Empire, it forgoes a lot of the traditional architecture focusing on an ultra high-tech look. It can be seen from anywhere in the main level of the Green Sector and is often looked at in awe by citizens of the city.

Vine-covered walls surround the palace. The entrance gate includes a bridge that is a hardlight construct which can be deactivated if criminals or unwanted visitors have decided to invade. An artificial lake that is stocked with fish and other wildlife encircles the tower except for the entrance bridge.

The gardens and courtyards of Asagumo-jo are like a scene captured from a fantasy novel. Sparkling crystal water flows through vine-covered aqueducts and trickles down the stone faces of fountains and elaborate waterworks. Elegant, colorful flowers from across the Yamatai Star Empire grow and flourish as they surround carefully trimmed and pruned shrubbery. Ponds filled with beautiful koi fish, lilies, and cattails are easily accessed by stone pathways dotted with benches and outdoor furniture.

The exterior of the palace is surrounded by tall walls that give privacy to the residents of the Palace. Everything except for the tower and some of the rooves of the secondary buildings can be seen from the outside of the walls. The walls themselves have gun mounts for optional weapon installation for defending the palace in the event of invasion.

At the northernmost side of the Palace, featured one special pagoda which serves as a Shrine devoted to Ketsurui Yui. According to Motoyoshi Clan traditions, Ketsurui Yui the first of the Nekovalkyrja is a revered and worshipped icon.

Because of its sacred status, the staff makes absolutely sure that this area is well maintained with no signs of dirt, or bugs. Around the main building were several small pagoda-style buildings that are designed for important events and functions. One was where the Star Army of Yamatai enlisted members of the clan can train and exercise where they can train their bodies and their accuracy. The final building was the archives where the Clan history is stored, as well as the names, records of birth certificates, and everything and anything related to the clan members, including who was a traitor.

The interiors of Asagumo-jo are expansive and luxurious. It serves as the primary private residence of the Motoyoshi Clan.

The Headquarters for the Motoyoshi Keibi division of the Yugumo Keisatsu is located in Asagumo-jo. This includes office spaces, a modest armory, holding cells and interrogation rooms.

The Motoyoshi Keibi serve as the primary security and protection service for members of the Motoyoshi Clan. They are generally present during any of the clan's functions not related to the Star Army of Yamatai.

Asagumo-jo has a beautiful indoor swimming pool with decorative rock formations and ferns. The pool is a great place for both the Motoyoshi Clan and building employees to unwind after a long day. Often a place used for indoor beach parties, small social gatherings, and other special events.

The Yugumo Corporation provides aquatic workout classes for those who are interested. The pool is also very popular with the younger generation as it is often visited by Motoyoshi Eidan and Motoyoshi Kuroko on their various journeys of mischief through the family estates.

Storage areas with fluffy towels and pool toys such as floatation devices are located around the outer edges of the pool area. There is generally no lifeguard on duty, occasionally one is brought in during events involving young children. A large volumetric screen allows for streaming media from SYNC to be played.

A non-traditional state-of-the-art training dojo with various mats and equipment. There is also a zero-gravity mode for the dojo for zero-gravity combat training for the Nekovalkyrja members of the Motoyoshi Clan. Being a clan with so much focus on the Star Army of Yamatai, their fitness and physical acuity are very important to them. Storage lockers around the outside of the Dojo also hold various workout equipment and other gear for training. The dojo is also open to building employees.

A free-per-use vending machine in the corridor outside of the dojo offers bottles of water and various other refreshments such as sports drinks and granola bars.

Locker rooms and showers are located in a separate area in a hallway leading off from the dojo.

A private media theatre provides a place for members of the Motoyoshi Clan to hang out and watch movies, concerts, dramas, and other streaming media from SYNC. It consists of a high-resolution projected volumetric screen and very comfortable chairs designed for the best viewing experience. Each chair has a cup holder, and a small interface so that additional snacks and treats can be ordered.

Popular streams from YTP Entertainment's stages and studios are a favorite pick for the family, especially the younger generation. Motoyoshi Eidan frequently patches in his gaming gear to the massive screen to impress Motoyoshi Kuroko.

Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko loves her daughter Motoyoshi Tachiko, and also has a passionate taste for the amazing things that have been cooked up at her Takeda House.

With changing menus created by a rotating crew of the most popular chefs from Takeda House locations across the Yamatai Star Empire, this Takeda House Kitchen is the most exclusive location. This kitchen directly serves the tables of the Motoyoshi Clan, from a late-night snack to the most decadent of meals the kitchen is on call all day and night to fill their every order.

While many of the Motoyoshi Clan suites in the skyscraper castle have kitchens, this is certainly the most popular and most used kitchen in the building. Meals are delivered by kitchen staff to destinations in the building.

Updated in YE 44, the Penthouse suite was updated at the request of Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko. Upon the highest level of the tower the massive penthouse suite serves as the home of Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko, Shimizu-Motoyoshi Akina (清水本吉明菜), as well as their partners Motoyoshi Eri and Kage Yaichiro. There are a few notable rooms in this suite.

Lavish sitting rooms with ultra-modern Yamataian furniture are a place for gathering with other members of the Motoyoshi Clan or friends. These rooms are designed for comfort and functional luxury with expensive accents and trinkets on display as conversation pieces. Projected fireplaces provide a sense of warmth, while volumetric projectors for streaming media from KAIMON, SYNC and PANTHEON provide a source of entertainment.

Each sitting room has a different theme:

• The Hummingbird Room - A beautiful decorative sitting room with rich Yamataian periwinkle blues, Motoyoshi purple and gold, filled with beautiful decorations that feature hummingbirds. The hummingbird is a symbol of the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet of the Star Army of Yamatai.
• The Asagumo Room - A luxurious and gorgeous room with themes of blue skies and fluffy white clouds to celebrate Asagumo²⁾ in a captivating way.

The Grand Dining Room is a place for the gathering of the entire clan for a meal. It has polished blue and gold floors and luxurious yet modern furnishings. A circular dial of lit tablets inset in a circle above the long rectangular table tells the story of the clan's history in Yamataigo (邪馬台語) script. Gold embellished chairs and a table fit for an Empress provide a host to celebrations and meetings alike.

The intricate lit chandelier that descends above the table serves as a focal point in the room. It is a place where the best fine dinnerwear is brought out for each service and a level of formality is demanded upon the staff of the home.

The tall rectangular windows situated at the far end of the room provide an amazing view of the city.

A comfortable room that was designed by Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko for Shimizu-Motoyoshi Akina (清水本吉明菜) to play her violin. The room feature comfortable chairs and sofas along with various musical equipment such as a piano, music stands, and storage cupboards to hold manually written music books.

Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko has a habit of occupying this room for lengthy periods of time as Shimizu-Motoyoshi Akina (清水本吉明菜) serenades her. She also occasionally plays her flute in accompaniment.

This is considered one of the private rooms of their home, other members of the clan are rarely welcomed into this room.

A bedroom suite made for four; Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko, Shimizu-Motoyoshi Akina (清水本吉明菜), as well as their partners Motoyoshi Eri and Kage Yaichiro all occupy this room. While the lovers all have their personal rooms, when they need their privacy this is one that they all share.

The epicenter of the room is a very large, circular bed. It is inspired by a Nekovalkyrja Nest but holds a more flat profile like a traditional bed. The bed comes with various functions such as heating, cooling, and vibration as well as connections similar to the Comfort Bed. Hideaway drawers store unmentionable toys and tools.

Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko is very fond of the room, and often spends time there even when her other partners are not present or involved.

A non-traditional onsen room creates a tranquil bathing environment with multiple tubs of filtered, heated water similar to a hot tub. Various soaps, lotions, and beauty accessories often dominate the countertops. Large fluffy linen towels, along with various scrub brushes and other cleaning devices can be found in an abundant supply. There are also two additional shower areas, along with several decorative water features that complete this room.

A great place for the quadruple of lovers to get clean or have a steamy encounter.

Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko is well known to soak in the tub for hours. She loves the water, and this one of her favorite rooms in the penthouse.

Asagumo-jo is reachable by visitors to Port Jiyuu. It is located in the center of Asagumo City.

Asagumo-jo is the residence of the Motoyoshi Clan and the vetted citizens who provide services to the family.

• The 雲 (Kumo)/Cloud throne that Motoyoshi Tio used in the United Outer Colonies is placed in a chamber here. That the throne has been symbolically placed beneath the flag of the Yamatai Star Empire by Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko to throw it in the face of the small fraction of the clan that is considered traitors for creating the United Outer Colonies.
