RX-33 is a highly stable explosive compound originally developed for military use but due to lack of regulations in explosives, has also found its way into the civilian market for mining, demolition, and recreation.

High voltage current will set off RX33. The explosive is highly resistant to impacts and heat. The explosive material can easily be cut and molded into any shape.

RX33 comes in two types of packaging, a two pound solid block of explosive in a plastic wrapper with a red cardboard insert warning of the product’s explosive capacity, and a 50 foot spool of wax coated detonation cord. The two pound block is typically packaged with a high voltage remote detonator.
