The Hota-Class Battlepod is a fourth-generation battlepod employed by both the SMX and NMX. Its primary purpose is to serve as the standard space superiority fighter within the Mishhuvurthyar war arsenal. This design lineage traces its origins back to the NMX Battlepod (Type 30A) and the NMX Battlepod (Type 33). The Hota-Class Battlepod was meticulously crafted and introduced just in time for the commencement of the Third Mishhuvurthyar War against the Star Army of Yamatai in YE 45.7.

The Hota-Class Battlepod performs two critical mission functions:

• A light fighter craft in space and atmospheric applications.
• A hull breaching pod to deliver Mishhuvurthyar into enemy ships once their shielding has been eliminated.

The Hota-Class SMX Battlepod has a reseblance to a Crab or a Beetle-like appearance. The pod has a central body/carapace with an elongated spherical main section, with two pincer-like appendages and three sets of leg-like appendages designed to latch onto the hulls of enemy vessels.

The cockpit is defined by a capsule bump on the dorsal side of the central body/carapace. The SMX tend to use a fleshy pink color scheme with glowing aether accents, and the NMX use a more brownish-red color livery on their version of the craft.

The battle pod is specifically designed to have a menacing and aggressive appearance, designed to prey on the fears of their enemies.

Entry and exit of the craft is through the ventral side, which when manned, allows for easy egress when the pod attaches itself to the hull of an enemy vessel or has settled down on its 'legs' in a landing bay.

The hull is composed of a Durandium Alloy frame with interlocking SMX Yamataium Equivelent plating. Interior compartments are coated in Yarvex. It is coated with the reversed engineered Sitearium stealth coating which was reverse-engineered from United Outer Colonies vessels during the Second Mishhuvurthyar War.

Integrated Hull Systems Include:

• Hemosynthetic System which works to improve the self-annealing properties of the SMX Yamataium Equivelent plating.
• Integrated CFS Array for CDD propulsion, Stealth and Shielding.

The leg appendages of the craft are made of Zesuaium and are used to gain access to enemy starships.

Power on the Hota-Class Battlepod is provided by two small aether generators. An integrated capacitor system includes up to three days of emergency power as a backup system.

The Hota-Class Battlepod is equipped with a compact Multi-Stage Aether Drive for sublight applications.
