The IPG's Naval Detachment is, contrary to its name, actually a small fleet of warships under the dedicated command of the Intelligence and Pacification Group. It is used for various combat missions, as well as for ferrying various personnel throughout Nepleslian space. Vessels in use by the IPG eschew the standard dark green paint used on most Nepleslian warships in favor of a dark grey or black. In addition to its own dedicated vessels, the IPGND also has full access to any ship within the SMDION's storage facility.

The Naval Detachment is based at System P1-10 "Dejection".

Following the YE 35 restructuring, the IPGND underwent a similar restructuring. It is currently divided into a four divisions, each containing a number of warships. When ordered to deploy, each division can be further divided into squadrons, each numbering between 5-10 ships.

The Alacrity group is one of the more well-balanced groups in the fleet, and is able to deploy effectively in a variety of situations.

Bombard is primarily responsible for deploying soldiers onto planets. It has the only two Shaika-class vessels currently in the Naval Detachment.

The Interceptor Division is meant to fight against enemy spaceborne threats, and it is well-equipped for the job.

Although, in numbers, the largest, the Omniscience group is rarely deployed in combat situations. It serves as an Imperium-wide ship-based intelligence gathering apparatus. It is also the only division to retain its original name.
