The W3104 Ultraviolet Pulse Laser is a frame mounted, anti-armor close in defense weapon, designed by Origin Industries. The laser fires in short, rapid fire high-wavelength pulses that are absorbed into a planet's atmosphere at ranges beyond 200 meters; However, the laser has a much greater range in space. The UPL mainly does damage through a drilling effect, its rapidfire pulses actually tend to drill into armor rather then ablate it.
