A reliable Hyperspace Fold Drive created by Motoyoshi Fleet Yards in YE 30, that continues to be used in the products of Yugumo Corporation in YE 42.

The Yumeoibito Hyperspace Fold Drive is a form of propulsion that pushes a vessel into a dimension, called Hyperspace Travel, that is adjacent to our own dimension but where distances are far smaller. The Yumeoibito design is built on redundancy; it is actually two smaller hyperspace fold drive modules with built-in capacitor systems. The capacitors keep the modules charged so that when one module is used the second will remain charged so the vessel can make a second transit into hyperspace.

The technology for the drives was so reliable that even though it was developed in YE 30 by Motoyoshi Fleet Yards, it continues to be built and deployed in ships produced by the Yugumo Corporation in YE 42.

Like most components and systems deployed in Yugumo Corporation designs, the Yumeoibito Hyperspace Fold Drive is built using a scalable and modular design so the units are able to be produced for a range of product vessels and use common parts that are easy to replace and repair.
