1st Rikugun Test and Evaluation Battalion

Created in YE 44 and stationed at Rikugun Base Fujiko, the 1st Rikugun Test and Evaluation Battalion (1st RTE Bn) is a joint unit between the Star Army Rikugun and the Star Army Research Administration. It is tasked to acquire and test/evaluate products of interest to the Rikugun. They are then either acquired by Star Army Logistics or a new design with similar properties is developed in-house by the Star Army Research Administration.

The 1st RTE Bn is currently commanded by Shosa Karen Haas and based out of Rikugun Base Fujiko

Established in YE 44 as part of Rikugun Reforms and Base Realignment YE 45. Shosa Mikael Harris was initially slated to take command of the unit, but the task was instead tasked to Shosa Karen Haas.

While inspecting the unit and Rikugun Base Fujiko in YE 44.7, Taisho Mizumitsu Benji tasked the unit's YSS Tengu (a Nuwa Class Multipurpose Frigate bought for testing and research purposes) to assist with evacuating Norians as part of Operation Fireplace ²⁾

The 1st Rikugun Test and Evaluation Battalion offers some training provided to both Star Army Science Officer and Star Army Cargo and Supply.

Currently the 1st RTE Bn is organized as an armor Star Army Battalion.

• 500 Sakura Type 43 “Bushi” Compact Carbine, milspec
• 500 RHI Type 43 "Paradin" Infantry Kit
• 500 Galactic Horizon Energy Cores
• various "Taihō" Scalable Mass Driver up to tier 8
• 100 Bubble Blower Grenade
• 1 URSA Armoured Transport Unit
