Sakuko has red eyes and peach skin framed by chin-length black hair. She has a small nose. She a contemplative person, very thoughtful, considerate, quiet, and a little shy. She loves to give and receive kisses on the cheek. Sakuko is small but athletic and spends a lot of time practicing gymnastics in the gymnasium. She likes to cook, wear frilly dresses, and give people backrubs. Sakuko also plays clarinet. She is a little bit afraid of insects and she will never talk about her family. She stands at 164 cm and weighs 69 kg (lots of muscle).

Hachirobei Sakuko was born on Yamatai (Planet) in YE 19. From her early childhood she excelled in gymnastics and participated competitively during her school years, and was a member of a high school marching band.

In YE 41, she was recruited to the Star Army after she turned 21, and was trained at the Central Fleet Depot.

In 9月 YE 42, she visited a bar near the train station in Ternifac¹⁾.

Sakuko received her first promotion in early YE 43. Later that year, she got her first assignment on a starship aboard the YSS Resurgence.

In YE 44.1 she was promoted to Ittô Hei. In YE 44.7, Beryl assisted during the Arrival of the Norians as the Resurgence crew evacuated hundreds of orphaned Norian children by piloting the shuttle²⁾. She was promoted to Jôtô Hei in YE 44.8.

After two more missions, Sakuko got another promotion in YE 45.6 to Nito Heisho.

In YE 46, Sakuko and her mate Zanven Brax conceived their first child during a stay on Yamatai in YE 46.3. The child would be born in YE 46.6.
