Occurring in the early part of Neshaten military history, the Shia'tre War was a bloody and terrible war that occurred many years before the Neshaten adopted the Era Calender. The War was the result of two opposing Laibe factions who couldn't get along with one another and instead choose to commit to a war; originally the war was just between these two factions but it quickly spread to encompass other territories on the Neshatens homeworld of Hi'shen.

The war resulted in last areas of land being uninhabitable due to the use of bio-weapons that rendered soil infertile. The war eventually ended when one of the Laibe factions, calling themselves the 'Oise of League' were decimated and their citizens exterminated; it is considered one of the bloodiest wars and one of the only instances - minus the Great War - were genocide was used to either attempt to, or to entirely, stop a war.
