Origin's Sensor probes are 2 meter long, .07 meter diameter, deployable missile-like objects which can be sent to scan items or areas in depth, giving a ship either a second viewpoint or a considerable boost in resolution at a certain point. These probes are self-propelled and remote-guided, but cannot be retrieved. The sensor probe uses an Inline Aether to Plasma Drive that has had the aether assemblies removed so that it relies on it's carried fuel for propulsion, with a maximum speed of .42c . The probe only carries enough fuel for one hour of operation. Once they run completely out of fuel, or once their usefulness is out used, a sensor probe will self-destruct. The scanning range on the probe is only 10 miles, and this can be adjusted down to provide extremely detailed information on a point as small as ten feet in radius.
