The Deluxe Cabin was designed in YE 40 by Origin Industries to fill the need of large living accommodations for officers, pilots, and senior enlisted on larger starships that had enough room to properly house their crew. It is styled after a compact studio apartment.
Sized at approximately 5 meters by 10 meters, the Deluxe Cabin contains a large living space. It includes a living area, sleeping area, full bathroom (complete with a combination bathtub/shower, a toilet, and a sink), and a kitchenette with a refrigerator. Larger than most living accommodations aboard a ship, the Deluxe Cabin makes a person feel more at home by having a viewscreen 'window' on the wall that can display various locales (such as cityscapes, island getaways, or the depths of space) and simulate ambient lighting coming from 'outside'.
