Designed in YE 32 by Origin Defense Manufacturing , the Anti Ship Phased Array Laser is a refined version of the earlier Origin Phased Array Laser, tuned for more damage and longer range at the cost of firing speed. The ASPL uses nanoscale construction, so that the array is comprised of extremely small lenses, which focuses electromagnetic radiation into a beam of focused energy. The ASPL made in strips built into the hull of a starship in order to save room.
