Like all major space military forces the NMX is heavily reliant on sophisticated technology. It is not surprising, then, that NMX technicians make up a significant fraction of NMX forces in units with starships and vehicles. The position of technician is available to both Mishhuvurthyar and NMX-created NH-29.

The typical NMX technician carries a belt or harness full of tools and (if humanoid) in either the standard Field Uniform or a jumpsuit/Coveralls. He/she is trained with both pre-programmed knowledge and generally has relevant experience in their area of expertise.

Technicians in the NMX usually work in one of these areas:

• Combat engineering
• Fabrication/Factory work
• Information technology (computers)
• Starship maintenance and repair (or boarding)
• Starfighter, power armor, and drone maintenance and repair
