The Peacekeeper Jacket was a light ballistics jacket worn by United Outer Colonies Peacekeeping Forces as part of the Peacekeeper Uniform.

Fleet Admiral Mitsuya Ember, at the request of Prime Minister Tange-Katsura Ayana sent a request to Yuriko Towa. Having heard of the success of the Blackcoat's Shroud Suit, the Prime Minister had Ember sent the request to its designer, Yuriko. What they had in mind was a jacket to help replace the old Star Army of Yamatai standard issue uniform. Yuriko Towa obliged by designing a functional, yet comfortable uniform jacket for them, thusly the Peacekeeper Jacket was designed in YE 30. The suit was then produced by her company, Kakutama Heavy Industries for use by the Peacekeepers.

The jacket is cut to comfortably to fit the wearer with a loose cut that can be slightly adjusted down at the bottom of the jacket with two adjustable straps on either side that secure with buckles to afford a slightly trimmer waist. It covers the wearer from just beneath the chin on the throat to the natural waistline of the wearer with long sleeves that cover the wearer's wrists. It features a high collar that can be snapped to offer the throat some minor form of protection. There are 5 pockets on the jacket with two on the inner lining on the right side and one on the lower left side and then, two zippered outer pockets on the lower left and right side that goes behind the top two layers. Putting the jacket on is a simple affair. One just unzips it, one arm in the other. A zipper is provided and zips from the left side where the armpit is located, all the way down to the bottom.

What makes it unique are the five layers of materials. The alternating layers of leather, synthetic spider silk and ballistics gel offer the wearer protection from small arms fire, most slashing damage, and very light energy dispersing properties. Each layer provides a little protection that goes along to the whole.

The outermost layer which is seen is synthetic leather done in the colors of the Motoyoshi Clan Purple, gold, and black. (However, if special ordered a jacket could be custom colored to anything the buyer wanted.) This layer is treated with a beam dispersive coating to help protect the wearer from energy weapons fire. The coating however is not indefinite and will only absorb one or two shots before it is burned away in the spots it has been struck. This layer has also been weather treated to help the leather also keep out the elements.

Underneath this initial layer is a synthetic spider silk mesh. Synthetic spider silk was used in the construction of the vest due to its fiber to strength density, being four to five times that of steel. The mesh is woven in such a way as most bulletproof vests, if a round strikes it, the mesh will concentrate its strength in the area being impacted upon.

Beneath this layer of synthetic spider silk is a thin ballistic gel layer. This is a simple kinetic energy absorbing gel that serves to slow, or brunt the damage from a solid round. The gel layer is thin so as to not hamper movement, as such larger caliber rounds would be capable of penetrating, but would have some of their energy sapped away.

Another layer of the sturdy synthetic spider silk mesh is behind the gel layer as both serve to contain it. And finally, behind this layer is the final one which is, nothing more then another layer of synthetic leather and then lined with a soft, quilted synthetic cotton liner. With all of the layers together, the width of the jacket is just under an inch thick and weighs approximately 3 lbs. All together the jacket is comfortable, warm, and provides adequate protection for day to day use for the Peacekeeper forces.
