War Medal

The War Medal is a military award of the Star Army of Yamatai.

The War Medal was introduced in YE 24 (OOC: 2004) as part of the original set of medals.

Starting in YE 39, the Star Army began phasing out the war medal in favor of distinct ribbons for each major war:

• Fourth Elysian War Service Ribbon (YE 39)
• First Mishhuvurthyar War Service Ribbon (YE 41)
• Second Mishhuvurthyar War Service Ribbon (YE 41)
• Kuvexian War Service Ribbon (YE 41)

The requirements to receive this awards are:

• Must be a member of the Star Army of Yamatai
• Given to soldiers in a unit that is actively participating in a war (ie: frequent battles).
• This soldier participated in a war or a campaign of war fought by the Star Army of Yamatai.

The award is issued by:

• Star Army Personnel Command

The War medal is based on the colors of blood and fire. It is mostly red and hes yellow stripes on the sides. Between the red and yellow there are thin orange stripes.

It is worn on the Type 35 Class A formal uniform.

If a specific war medal is worn, the war medal should not be worn at the same time unless it is for another war.

The War Medal was given to any Star Army member who fought in:

1. Chaos Hive War (YE 21, Ayenee universe) as the Army Of Uesureya
2. Fourth Elysian War (YE 23-YE 25) as the Grand Star Army
3. Second Draconian War (YE 24), Star Army universe & Ayenee universe) as the Grand Star Army
4. The Qel'noran Rebellion (YE 26)
5. First Mishhuvurthyar War (YE 26-YE 30) as the Grand Star Army (until YE 28 when it became the Star Army of Yamatai)
6. Second Mishhuvurthyar War (YE 31-YE 34)
