In YE 33, the NMX introduced a reversible pullover camouflage smock for its humanoid soldiers serving in jungle environments such as HX-13.

The smock is somewhat baggy and short-sleeved and hangs down to just above the knee. It has two pockets that open on both sides of the garment. The main side features a new jungle pattern while the reverse features a brown version. A subdued version of the SMN flag patch is sown onto both sides. The smock is water-resistant and designed so that it gains minimal weight when wet and to dry quickly.

The smock is worn over the Type 31C Camouflage Uniform or the Type 31D Dark Camouflage Uniform.

• The brown side is good for the jungle floor, and for muddy areas.
• The green side is good for the canopy and vegetated areas
• Rank is not worn on the smock.
