The Active Deception System, or CDS, is an electronic warfare suite designed to counter communications leeching by creating multiple 'false' communications lines through which falsified data is sent. By doing this, the effectiveness of information theft in combat scenarios is reduced, as hostile forces will be forced to sift through large amounts of junk data before being able to use intercepted communications to their advantage. Malware included in 'junk' frequencies can further increase the risk and inconvenience for such systems.
While activated, multiple junk frequencies will be simultaneously broadcasted alongside standard ones, to confuse the enemy. Any numerical data is changed by a randomly generated modifier at every new transmission, while names and qualitative information is switched.
Occasionally, the Organoid's NI will include malicious software in fake signals to cause further problems for the enemy.
