Similar to the CELB Laser in functionality, but differing in application, the Compression-Enhanced Heavy Beam, or CEHB Laser is a potent starship mounted weapon typically used as a secondary weapon on most vessels, and a main heavy weapon on mid to large sized craft, such as shuttles and corvettes. It works by pumping a high potency coherent visible-spectrum EM beam through a lens and continuously encasing it in a dense space compression effect, allowing it to fire for exceptionally long ranges. It is capable of firing for twice as long as it's smaller kin, and has half the recycle time, thanks more robust heat sinks.
