Developed by Motoyoshi Fleet Yards's Kakujitsusei Propulsion Laboratories in YE 30. The Hoshi series of Gravimetric Drives were, at the time, top of the line models created specifically for Motoyoshi Fleet Yards's contracts with the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet and the Star Army of Yamatai.
The drives were phased out and the product line was replaced when Yugumo Corporation took over the remains of Motoyoshi Fleet Yards in YE 42.
In Yamataigo, Hoshi translates to Star.
