Fort Jal was a Star Army of Yamatai base located on planet Miu I in the Miu System. It was named after Taisho Araiah Jal. Currently, Fort Jal is commanded by Taisa Brusi Thidrandason.
The closest functional facility to Fort Jal was a Ke-P6-01a Bisen Lighthouse that the Scientific Studies Service (SSS) deployed in YE 35. The old colonies have been reclaimed or removed.
Fort Jal was built on the side of a large lake in YE 36 in a zone where the temperature was fairly stable.
In YE 41, a group of mercenaries working for the Interstellar Kingdom Of Kuvexia launched a surprise attack on the base and killed all of the soldiers stationed there as part of the Kuvexian Invasion of YE 41 during the Kuvexian War. The attacked current during the Year-End Holidays. The Fort was looted and left to rust1).
In YE 43, in preparation for a much more robust imperial presence, the base was safely dismantled; however, a new base has yet to be built.
