Teleportation Chamber

Using the same fundamental technologies as the Transposition Fold "Legacy" Cannon and Ke-M2-P4003 Power Armor Teleportation Unit, the Teleportation chamber allows a Starship or a Base to deploy via teleportation powered armors that don't necessarily have teleportation units themselves such as the Daisy M6 Infantry Power Armor or Yu-M1-2B Series "Molly" Light Mechanized Power Armor. It also allows a powered armor that does have its own teleportation unit to retain use of it in order to return immediately if needed.

In YE 37, Apollo Heavy Industries began the scientific work on behalf of the Star Army of Yamatai on teleportation technologies. Part of this work with and on behalf of Star Army Research Administration helped result in the Ke-M2-P4003 Power Armor Teleportation Unit. It is derived in part from the Transfer Chamber aboard the YSS Asamoya. In YE 46, Apollo rolled out their first Teleportation Chamber.

The Teleportation Room consists of two parts, the Teleportation Chamber itself and the Teleportation Platform. It is typically located near the ship's armory.

The Transposition Platform can be of many different shapes and sizes, its flexible form factor allowing it to be installed nearly anywhere on a ship or starbase. It merely has to have enough space for armors to enter and leave the Teleportation Chamber, as well as house its attached monitoring station.

The Teleportation Chamber, by contrast to the platform, is standardized. It is a circular room about 6 meters (20 feet) in diameter on the inside and 2.5 meters (8 Feet) from floor to celling, allowing it to accommodate even the largest of Yamataian powered armors such as the Kirie Thought Armor and the Keiko Thought Armor. The exterior shell is made of Zesuaium. A wide sliding door of Zesuaium closes the chamber so that the teleportation flash does not injure anyone outside of the chamber. In a dire emergency, the Zesuaium shielding allows the Teleportation Chamber to be used a sort of emergency lifeboat. The Teleportation Chamber has its own power system for inertial dampeners, emergency beacons, and supplies. However, it does require power from a much larger system, such as a starship, to use its Teleportation function. Due to the nature of being placed within a larger thing such as a ship or base, the self destruct system renders the Teleportation Chamber inoperable while still permitting its use as a lifeboat.

It used aboard Star Army of Yamatai Starships to teleport powered armor to its destination without the powered armor necessarily having a teleportation module itself. Due to it's incredibly long range, it permits the deployment of troops across much of a solar system to other planets and even starships. In addtion to powered armor, it can teleport cargo. When teleporting to other bases and ships, the Teleportation Chamber is a common target as it is known to be shielded from the teleportation flash.

• Range: 5 AU with Compact Integrated Electronics System (CIES), farther with higher level IES.
• Maximum Mass: Can safely transport up to about 25,000 kg per cycle.

  • In atmospheric environments, transposition causes a shockwave of heat, light, sound, and radiation that is extremely dangerous to unprotected individuals. The shockwave can rupture eardrums, caused temporary or permanent blindness and flash burns. ALWAYS close the door before use.
  • Do not attempt teleportation through shields, or partial teleportation will occur!
  • Do not exceed mass limit, or partial teleportation may occur!
  • Do not exceed range limit without assistance from MEGAMI, or partial teleportation may occur!

  • These units will self-destruct if tampered with. No user-serviceable parts. Send damaged units back to Apollo Heavy Industries.
  • Use without proper training may result in partial teleportation.
  • Teleportation is one way, ensure that the powered armor will be able to return to the ship.
