Ishido has almond-shaped, light brown eyes and copper-toned skin. He has light brown hair worn long, down to his neck, and sharp facial features. After joining the army, he cut his hair short. He has an athletic physique, with broad shoulders and well-maintained musculature. He has a deep, but warm voice, and a tattoo of a spiraling tendril on his left arm.

Ishido is an ambitious, hard-working man that comes off as aloof, though not charismatic, on cursory meetings. Though he largely keeps to himself and is rather emotionally reserved, he is socialable and very loyal to those that get to know him as a friend. Those that know him as a friend know his dry, sarcastic sense of humor. He has a deterministic personality and often compartmentalizes issues, including emotions, which can sometimes lead to tempremental outbursts.

Kazunari Ishido was born 8日 7月 23 in Kyoto. Ishido's parents were both researchers in Kyoto, and had little time for him, though they loved him as they could. Growing up, despite displaying high intelligence, Ishido routinely fell in with the 'bad crowd', especially in his later teenage years. Ishido was always closer with his mother, who was a veteran, and after a close run in with the law, she made an impassioned plea with him to find direction for his life and join the Star Army. He listened, and received his pilot certification from Fort Hajime.
