Issei Tatsumi

Issei Tatsumi is a player character played by IQ.

Standing at a 170 centimeters tall, Issei features a somewhat more feminine face, with sharp chin and noticable cheekbones, featuring somewhat hollow cheeks, though a bigger-than-average nose. Possessing brilliant green eyes and jet black hair, slicked back in a high quiff, with a visible, well-kept, yet rugged 9 o' clock shade piecing his masculinity together.

Issei has a lean build. He's not extraordinarily muscled, though the lines of his abdomen are tracable. He works out to keep in shape, moreso to actually gain more muscle.

When not wearing standard issue uniforms, or excepting his time as a GP, Issei prefers jeans and a leather jacket. It's why he still packs his favourite jacket on every assignment he partakes in. For the off-chance he gets to wear it.

Though often seen when off duty, Issei totes around a Trike Compact Assault Shotgun in a loose sheath over his shoulder.

Issei, despite his rough exterior, has a heart of gold. When in basic, he trained to be a medic. Once part of the rangers he didn't relinquish his training and became a pillar in many taskforces. As an extremely effective field medic. He's saved people and he's lost people. Which is devastating, but he's managed to put that off, allowing him to mask and even ignore his emotions extremely well. And keep cold and calculated.

Some people have questioned him regarding, whether his heart doesn't get in the way in the line of duty. But he claims that now, more than ever, it's the heart he's fighting for.

Though Issei has a darker side. During his first few failed attempts at saving people, certainly in reconnaissance. He formed a certain idealogy. His friends needed saving, all of them. And his enemies? They were mindless beasts that they needed saving from.

Issei Tatsumi was born in YE 13 on a nursing ship, as a Nepleslian, rather than a Minkan. Growing up, Issei always had hoped to enlist in the army. Which at the age of twenty, he did.

Basic training was, well, basic. Not much happened bar his excelling in the medical field. Causing him to recieve extra training regarding battlefield triage. Several assignments later however, Issei began getting recurring nightmares. Seeing his hands stained in the blood of his comrades. No washing could get it off. He blamed himself for not being able to save them and in the end. His mental fortitude shattered. Being deemed unfit for duty and put on paid leave. Though he still kept tabs on his friends across the army. And still had access to some files, which he used to see who had died. Causing his mental health to decline even further.

Issei guilted himself over it. He couldn't save everyone, but he could at least help. He hit the lowest of the low when he was blind drunk for weeks on end. Looking at the mess in the mirror, he told himself he would never stoop this low again.

Around the start of YE 37, he had disappeared. Fled to a backwater mining colony outside of Yamatai control, where he managed to recover from both his alcohol addiction and the tragic events that ocurred. Opening a doctor's office for the civillians present there. Though with the gangs present, his office was raided many times. Up until he had enough of it. Having saved up enough to purchase a weapon, Issei managed to get his hands on a simple double-barreled shotgun. The next time his office was to be extorted, he blew out the leg of one of the extortionists and blasted the other's head off. In clear daylight.

Wearing nothing but a neutral expression. Not responding to the panicked attendants he had. He just engaged the safety of the weapon, put it on his desk and told he was ready for the next patient. He was done being pushed around.

Another year passed, before he finally found his way back to Yamatai. Turning himself in to the authorities, registering himself and going through the various psyche tests before he could actually be considered viable for the military. And comparing his scores from basic to the second rounds of testing, it seemed like Issei had pushed all the pain off. Eerily calm during the tests. Opting for the ice-cold, yet efficient options.

• Survival and Military: Having been trained by the best, for the worst, Issei knows how to handle himself in a completely FUBAR situation. Where he is out of ammo, estranged to his weapon and combat knife, without any kind of warm clothes and hurt to boot, surrounded by nothing but enemies and dangerour predators. Issei is though and will do anything and everything in his power to survive.

• Knowledge: Calculated, both from birth on and throughout the years experienced with fighting in the field, both in the army and against the gangsters he had to deal with, Issei knows how to estimate his moves in a split second. While just above average in the field regarding tactics, his medical knowledge helps both to treat the wounded and make sure people are in a right mind, as well as make enemies talk.

• Humanities: Having been at the lowest of the low, Issei remained an intelligent being. Having been subjected to countless shrinks and quacks, to empaths and licensed psychologists, Issei always regarded them with distrust. Knowing they wanted to get inside his head and through observation, he learned several tricks, able to talk people into giving away information they rather wouldn't share.

• Extended medical knowledge: Being an expert in terms of battlefield triage, Issei is an official field medic. Beyond being able to do the basics with his eyes shut and one hand, he can provide far more advanced care on the battleield, whilst under direct fire. As long as he has a squad backing him up, he can completely ignore the bullets whistling past and focus on his patient and his patient alone.
