YSS Firebird
YSS Firebird, NS-X1-213, is a modified Nozomi-class Scout was built at Gemini Star Fortress in YE 29. In YE 34 she was refit by the Ketsurui Fleet Yards at Kyoto for the Star Army of Yamatai's First Expeditionary Fleet. Sakura Blueberry is her current commander.
Overview
YSS Firebird, NS-X1-213, is a Nozomi-class Scout that was heavily damaged in the Second Mishhuvurthyar War and reported as lost. In YE 34 she was purchased as salvage by Jalen Sune and refit by the Ketsurui Fleet Yards at Kyoto in YE 34 to serve as a test bed for his research.
Status
The Firebird has arrived at Hanako's World with the YSS Eucharis.

Emblem
The Firebird emblem consists of the ship portrayed upon a nebula, with a gold circle with the ship's name and registry in it.
Ship's Name
During the refit Jalen Sune gave the ship the name Firebird, after the legendary bird. It seemed appropriate to him since the ship died in flames and was reborn.

History
- Sune took the YSS Firebird out to rendezvous with the YSS Eucharis to meet with Hanako to discuss what transpired with the Byakuren. After their first fold, a small problem with the drive was discovered and repaired by Tetsuya Eiko. While the repairs were being made they received word to meet at Ether. Upon arriving at the system, the Firebird was met by forces of the alien navy which escorted the ship to the planet Ether. Where they met with the Eucharis.
- In YE 34 Jalen Sune acquired the ship as salvage. Originally he was going to use it as a test bed for some of his ideas but not use the ship in an active capacity. However, he changed his mind when an assignment he was preparing to take turned out to be undesirable. So he requested to be placed in command of the ship, so that he could get the major repair work he needed done more quickly. During the refit of the ship, Sune made a number of changes, some of these were due to newer equipment being available, such as escape pods. Other changes were made to support his experimental concepts.
