Jiyuu VII is the seventh planet in the Jiyuu System, it is part of the Yamatai Star Empire.
Jiyuu VII is a Jupiter-sized gas giant. It was discovered and studied in YE 29 by the YSS Akuro II of the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet. It is a relatively typical gas giant, except it has a retrograde orbit. It has three tiny rings, and a massive number of captured asteroids in orbit, which differ in altitude, angle, and level of degradation.
During the NMX invasion in YE 33, several United Outer Colonies Peacekeeping Forces ships hid in the asteroid fields caught in the planet's gravity.
In YE 42, the Yugumo Corporation set up several automated atmospheric mining (gas mining) facilities in orbit to collect gases like hydrogen, helium, and methane from the planet's atmosphere.
