Taiie Nebula

The Taiie Nebula is the result of the destruction of the Taiie System by a Shlarvasseroth-class Flagship in YE 29. It is a unique nebula and debris field.

It is in space claimed by the Yamatai Star Empire. The system is considered sacred to the Motoyoshi Clan.

The Taiie Nebula was formed in YE 29, it was the tragic result of the Battle Of Taiie; the entire Taiie System was destroyed by Melisson, an Nightmare Interpreter Variant in command of the newest Shlarvasseroth-class Flagship of the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX). After the devastation the system remained under Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX) until the Intergalactic Armistice Agreement of YE 30 (IAA) when it was returned to the Yamatai Star Empire.

The Motoyoshi Clan have considered the Taiie Nebula a sacred place since the destruction of the Taiie System. The Clan and citizens in the Motoyoshi Colonial Sector make pilgrimages to the nebula during Tsukimi held every year on 2日8月 of the Yamataian Calendar.

The nebula is also considered a cemetery.

In YE 36, a megastructure was proposed for placement in the system to give it purpose again, but the project never moved forward. As of YE 43, the Yugumo Corporation has planned a similar project for the future.

The ISS Shiori visited here in early YE 43, Motoyoshi Eidan was given lessons and education about the history of the region and its importance to the Motoyoshi Clan, which included a private call with his grandmother, Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko. ¹⁾

The Taiie Nebula is a massive cloud of interstellar gases and dust. The nebula includes the debris from the destruction of planets, moons, asteroids and the Taiie Star.

As of YE 43, permission is required to enter the system due to its status as a cemetery and a sacred location for the Motoyoshi Clan. The Yugumo Corporation has buoys placed in the system which handle communications.

The only way to reach the Taiie Nebula is by starship or other craft.

The Taiie Nebula currently has no permanent inhabitants.
