Zdena is a short and plump woman with an pear-like profile. She carries most of her weight in her ample and protruding rear, belying her enhanced Neko strength and speed. She has a light brown skin tone. Zdena has a round facial profile and her eyebrows are thin with a high arch. She has long upper lashes, which draw attention to her cyan irises. Her nose is broad, well-defined, and it complements her puffy cheeks, which in turn, complement her full and chubby lips. Zdena has Neko-style ears, ringed with magenta-colored fur and her hair is normally worn long, with flared and side swept bangs. Her natural hair color is magenta, and she has no highlights, dyes, or color distortions throughout her hair.

Quiet and conscientious, Zdena is unflinching in work ethic and inwardly focused. She spends little time on personal pursuits outside of combat, physical fitness, and her outward appearance. Zdena makes no effort to know her peers on a personal level and she avoids idle conversation outside of professional matters. However, she appreciates peers and superiors who give her constructive criticism. She will develop a close professional relationship with these individuals and at rare times, this relationship will extend past professional matters.

Despite her cold and professional personality, Zdena is an empathetic woman. She is rarely offensive and genuinely respects her peers, provided they are professionally competent. However, she has little tolerance for incompetence and laziness, and will often directly confront those individuals who fail to live up to her exacting standards.

Created in YE 38 by Ketsurui Zaibatsu, Zdena stood out little from the rest of her training group, although she developed an affinity for many of the “precise” aspects of combat and athletics during infantry training. She is most comfortable behind the sights of an accurate rifle and she is skilled at parkour, gymnastics, and jumping.

During a boarding incident, Zdena was on the receiving end of a friendly fire incident after being shot in the head with a stun-mode NSP. As a result of this incident, she was transferred from her squad and demoted to Santô Hei after getting in an argument with the squadmate over the accident.
