Ryllae Akhai was born on Noria in the year 200 BYE to Kari and Nozul Akhai. Her childhood was generally occupied by studies and activities focused on a pre-determined path since an early age. Ryllae's father Nozul wanted her to serve in the military like he had and groomed her for that purpose. She was especially devoted to being combat proficient, adaptable, and knowledge driven. This led her to building a successful career with the military, a point that eventually would end up with her joining Adrin Eitan's crusade on Ayenee. What exactly she did there is not a matter she discusses with anyone.

After events that led to Adrin's capture she remained in military service to the Norian Continuum. She spent time honing skills she had learned during the crusade, while improving on areas that would help her become quite adaptable in following events that unfolded. In YE 44 she was one of the officers that had been assigned to a military asset that survived the Craethel War. Sometime after the dust settled she and other crew found themselves on Solitude, waiting to be picked up by Adrin Eitan.
