Tobias is a somewhat short, gangly Nepleslian young man. About 5 feet and 10 inches tall and 186 pounds in weight. He has fair skin, blue eyes, and brown hair. His hair is usually messy, as it is very hard to keep neat.
While as fit as one could expect from a Marine or even IPG agent, Tobias perpetually looks like he could stand to gain some weight. While not extremely physically attractive, he is somewhat good-looking.
When not in uniform, he usually wears a gray hoodie and beige pants.
While growing up fairly timid, Tobias' forceful induction into the IPG seems to have forced the young man to grow a backbone, whether through exposure to the battlefield or through more unpleasant methods such as brainwashing. While outwardly amicable, he is now inwardly detached and mission-focused, seemingly willing to resort to drastic measures in order to accomplish his tasked mission.
Tobias Carrick was born in YE 20 on December fifth.
Tobias was born the only child of a relatively wealthy couple who lived in Nepleslia prime. He spent most of his youth playing games or in school. As a child, he had an affinity with computers, While his childhood was mostly unworthy of note, he did enlist in the Nepleslian military at age 16. Though specializing in cyberwarfare, Tobias also trained in all of the normal areas. About a year into his career, Tobias was discharged after disobeying a direct order to vent a section of a space station containing multiple civilians in order to catch or kill a criminal. After his discharge, Tobias worked as a freelance hacker, taking many jobs, but those that he accepted were usually only against companies that had a history of exploiting others. Just before his abduction by the IPG, he hacked a company that was known to have nigh-impregnable defenses. This turned out to be an IPG front, and a bug was inserted into his system, allowing them to track him down.
Eventually, he was transferred to the NSS Inquiry, serving as a marine there before being pulled away yet again to a new posting, attached to the 309th Marines as an IPG agent. However, while attached to the group evidence began to surface throwing his understanding of his own past into question.

Tobias is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, ships, ground vehicles, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. He is fluent in Nepleslian. He can speak and write it correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc. He is skilled in field communications and is proficient in all rudimentary forms of communication (hand signals, flashing lights, etc). He is also a skilled cryptographer.
Tobias has received basic hand-to-hand combat training (primarily focused on disabling and/or killing opponents) and has followed up that knowledge with a rigorous training program. Weapons he has basic training in includes pistols of all types, knives, grenades (and other forms of explosive weaponry) and rifles of all kinds.
Tobias knows how to survive in hostile environments. He can build shelters, hunt and forage for food, build a fire, etc. The character can camouflage himself and is familiar with guerrilla warfare tactics.
The character can understand and give out tactical commands and work with his troop to follow those commands efficiently. He knows the importance of teamwork on the battlefield, has been intensively trained in discipline and morale, and is able to recognize the command structure even while under extreme pressure (combat, etc). The character is able to recognize ambush points. He knows basic math in order to calculate distances, etc, and can use a tactical map.
Tobias is an extremely skilled hacker, able to compromise most systems given enough time.
