Oksana is a female Nepleslian with a deceptively beatific appearance about her. She is on the petite side, standing just 147cm tall and weighing 50kg. She favors black or dark toned cyber punk clothing almost exclusively. If research grant funds are on the table, she could be persuaded into lighter colors or dresses. During the course of her work she will generally wear more conservative cyber punk clothing along with a lab coat or other attire required for her occupation, as necessary.

Oksana is an ESFP¹⁾ personality type. She has a very bold and enthusiastic approach to life. Stepping out of her comfort zone is never an issue when it comes to things that she finds interesting. She loves making new friends and is very social. However, she enjoys her personal space and gets really sassy if people invade it or bother her in an untoward manner. Her preferred method for learning is very hands on and observant. To her life is a thrill, best experienced hands on with her own eyes regardless of the risk. She responds quite amusingly to outside suggestions that relate to her personal life, though work related suggestions she sees as learning experiences.

Oksana Bilous was born on Nepleslia in YE 21 to Artem and Svitlana. Her father Artem served in the Nepleslian Space Marine Corps as a Marine Sniper. Her mother Svitlana worked as a chemist at a local hospital, always bringing stories home to Oksana and her siblings. Throughout her childhood she kept close to her siblings, though unlike them her sights were always on the stars. She spent any time she wasn't outside picking her mother's brain on all things chemistry. Sometimes she even roped her siblings into helping her with research and observations. Though one thing her parents made sure of, was that all their children knew how to defend themselves. As such, Oksana practiced several forms of armed and unarmed combat.

Most of her siblings followed in the path that had been laid out by her father, joining the Nepleslian Space Marine Corps. However, Oksana ventured out on a completely new path. Instead of following in the footsteps of her father or mother, she pursued her passion for chemistry and space. She pursued an education in astrochemistry, a profession that called to her as it combined both of her passions. In 46.8 she attained her doctorate in Astrochemistry and immediately began searching for new or exciting opportunities. A hyperspace storm struck Grimsharos, immediately grabbing her interest. Shortly after she saw the callout from Dr. Nicolaos Stavrou of the NRSS Strix. She practically screamed with glee, immediately gunning for a spot onboard the NRSS Strix.
