1. NSS Interregnum

Ava stands at a fairly short 5' (152.4 cm) and weighs a mere 105 lbs (47.6 Kg). She has an athletic figure with a mid-sized (30C) bust, a toned mid-section, and an overall lean look that is emphasized by her back-tall, shoulders-back posture! Her skin is a fair tone that compliments her sandy-blonde hair that is kept up out of her angular, kite-shaped face in a loose bun. She has blue, deep-set eyes and a small, yet pointy nose set precisely where they belong, right above a set of small, (mildly) tight-pressed lips. While not emotionless, her mouth is often set in a neutral expression. Most of her emotion is conveyed through her eyes and brow

She is more legs than torso, a large portion of her height attributed to them. Her hands and feet are small, almost child like. She's rather small, but undoubtedly a grown woman

She smells faintly of cloves and shoe-polish.

Her voice is saprano, but loud and very clear. Despite the usually neutral look on her face her voice is very active usually gives away her emotions.

Ava is a passionate, determined sort of woman with very clear ideas on what she wants and (more often than not) how she's going to get it. She's a woman of action, however she is also very calculating and observant, creating the perfect combonation for a woman in her line of work. She enjoys social interaction to a degree and while she will not shy away from it, it is not her main priority. Her morals are mostly in line and the protection of others is her main priority rather than the upholding of the actual rules. She is not, however, an emotionless robot. Quite the contrary!

Ava is motivated by her Passion and loyalty for those she serves with.

She enjoys going for runs, competition, challenges, odd-numbers, and strategic-boardgames

She dislikes wide open spaces, doing absolutely nothing for prolonged periods of time, and olives.

Pre-RP Ava Riggs was born in YE 09 on Neplesia to a single 'hippy-dippy' type mother, Jenn Riggs. From a young age Ava was taught that war was 'wrong' (although her mother did not openly protest against the military), contrary to the Nepleslian culture's enjoyment of all things rough, tough, and 'manly. She bought into this and followed her mother's teachings most of her childhood By age eleven Ava became more interested in activities that she had been taught all her life were 'brutish' and 'mainstream', something inside of Ava wanted to go with the up-stream flow, but she stays mostly in tune with her hippy-like lifestyle until she reaches young adulthood. Eventually, despite her mother's disapproval she joined the Nepleslian military. Her mother's raising of her did influence her decision to join the Military Police, something of a compromise between both ideologies. Ava Riggs becomes very dedicated and diligent in and to her position, and extremely skilled at her job, thus earning the respect of her peers and the attention of her superiors.

Current

After serving several months on the Interregnum, and growing attached to her crew-mates, a kill order was placed on their foreign Commando Commander, Daran Ist'Laderen, and their Chief Medical Officer, Cleo O'Conner. Instead of carrying this order out, as was her duty as Chief Security Officer, and executing the two 'former' crewmates, she instead rushed to their aid -as did many of the other crew members-. Upon discovery of this act of treason, the remaining loyal IPG Commandos sought the destruction of the traitors, including Ava herself. They failed, despite managing to kill many of the traitors and severely injuring a majority of the survivors, and the traitors escaped, and managed to destroy the NSS Interregnum after their exodus.

Ava Riggs is now wanted dead, with a 2,000,000 DA bounty on her head.

Ava is a skilled combatant and has training equal to that of an IPG commando, compounded with years of experience putting her combat skills into practice, and compounded with the high levels of mental fortitude it requires to become Military Police. She is especially well practiced with small arms

While able to understand and follow orders, as an officer Ava also knows how to give quick, concise orders that leave little to be misunderstood, even while under pressure. She is well versed with defending against hostile boarding actions, as well as more offensive maneuvers. She is, however, much more trained to act on the defensive rather than offensive given her position in providing security. She is able to quickly find entrances/exits, defensive positions, and the best way to defend them.

Ava is (or was) an adept musician, well-practiced with Acoustic Guitars, Flutes, and the manipulation of her own voice. Her skills come from her time in a band (Third Star) while she was still a teenager.
