He was not yet considered an adult by the [[stararmy:star army of yamatai]] and he had no where else to go, so [[character:Belinda Blake]] took the boy and several others into her care and gave them guidance and something of a family. When the [[faction:united_outer_colonies:mayer_station]] incident occurred in [[calendar:YE 32]], he was trapped with the crew of the [[faction:united_outer_colonies:united_outer_colonies_peacekeeper_forces:ucs_zenpyou]] and the other survivors for 2 years before they were rescued by the [[stararmy:starships:yss_aeon]] crew. Deeply effected by the horrors they faced on Mayer with the infection and the invasion and inspired by the actions of medic, [[character:mason alice]], he was motivated to enlist in the [[stararmy:star army of yamatai]] in [[calendar:YE 35]] when he was old enough.
