Formed in YE 34, the Twelfth Legion was composed of military volunteers who enlisted following the Battle of Yamatai. Compared with other legions, it is small but makes up for this numerical difference with equipment that multiplies their force. Its symbol is the thunderbolt and nicknamed the “Thundering Legion” though various stories surround how this moniker came into being. The XII was previously attached to Star Army Twelfth Fleet as its planetary invasion force.
