Star Army Explorer Uniform, Type 47

The Type 47 Explorer uniform is one of the various types of Star Army Explorer Uniform used by the Star Army of Yamatai in the late YE 40s that was issued in YE 47.

Price: 800 KS. This item is exclusively issued to soldiers of the Star Army of Yamatai.

The Star Army Explorer Uniform was introduced in YE 45 and came in the form of a variety of prototype uniforms each being tested for performance. Eventually the Star Army began to mass-produce some of these and the Type 47 was one chosen for widespread distribution in YE 47 for use during the Third Mishhuvurthyar War.

The Type 47 Explorer Uniform has a blue base layer on top and a black synthetic layer covering most of the lower body that keeps it dry and warm when moving through swampy Mishhuvurthyar starships. The uniform is equipped with armor plates on the shoulders, chest, and back. It has a centered photonic projector/communicator on the front of the chest. This armor is a silver color when it comes from the factory but it's typically colored with spray-on Omnihue at the unit or starship level as available so that it can be colored in the appropriate occupational color codes. It doesn't really have any stand-out features compared to other Explorer suits but it's becoming a common sight.
