The first barrier shield system designed for the Ke-M2 "Mindy" Series of Power Armor. This device spurred innovation in Mindy development and continues to serve as an auxiliary barrier for soldiers of Yamatai that need more protection

The Ketsurui Fleet Yards Ke-M2-P2904 Barrier Shield Module was first developed at the Secret Scorpio Research Base as an add-on to provide the Mindy's CFS system the same shielding function as shuttles and starships have. The unit functions by using the electrogravitic and electrostatic fields formed by the Combined Field System to protect from both solid and beam weaponry by curving the space around the armor, allowing the attacks to be deflected without harm to the Mindy. First tested by the YSS Sakura in the PNUgen raid in YE 29, the barrier shield proved itself as being extremely effective, allowing two Mindy armors to survive a skirmish with a squad of M1 Lamias.

This system interrupts the Mindy's built-in barrier and as a result the operator must choose which is active It takes 5 seconds to switch between barrier systems. With the P-2904 barrier active the suit will have any suit powered energy weapons rate of fire halved as unit has massive energy demands. If the user switches barrier systems while the P-2904 is not at 100% charge it will continue the draining power and reducing recharge until it has either regained full capacity or had it's own power supply cut off.

• Damage Capacity: Tier 5 Heavy Anti-armor
• Barrier Shielding: Can blunt and deflect attacks. The barrier can absorb and cope with a very heavy amount of punishment. It takes 5 seconds for the barrier shield to activate or deactivate, reactivation from 0% takes 15 seconds.
• Power Usage: Using the CFS system to provide the Mindy with such powerful, all around protection drains a lot of power, slowing the recharge of the suit powered weapons by half while it is active or recharging.
• Capacitor Restart: Due to the greatly increased size and power demand of the P2904 the ever useful Ke-M2-G3000 Shoulder Capacitor and Ke-M2-G3001 Leg Capacitors can only charge the barrier by 50%, requiring 2 capacitors to reactivate the barrier fully, however switching systems still takes 5 seconds.
