Leviathan Husk is a material produced by Corporations in Tsenlan.
The production of Leviathan Husk began in YE 26, and is a result of continued research into Leviathan Technology. Through the Mapping of Umarian Leviathan Genomes came the ability to manufacture Leviathan husk, also known as Leviathan flesh; this husk material is used as the shell for starships, vehicles, and the flesh, in general, can be utilized to create living structures utilized by the Tsenlanese for housing and infrastructure.
As of YE 44, and the arrival of norians in the Kagami Galaxy, Leviathan husk will be created by Tsenlan-based Corporations once they are established. In the meantime the material is produced on the surviving Ark vessels which carried the norian people to safety.

Leviathan husk is manufactured through biological engineering, the process demands the activation of Leviathan stem cells which are grown in specialized vats containing a nutrient-rich solution containing a wide variety of metal alloys and organic material. The genome of the cells can be manipulated to various patterns of cellular differentiation which creates layers of scaled flesh. Depending on the application the thickness of this flesh can vary from a few millimeters to several meters thick.
As that Leviathan husk is organic matter which is infused with several metal alloys it requires the circulation of nutrient-rich biosynthetic slurry to remain alive. It provides protection relatively similar to Yamataium in that it has self-healing properties and is highly resistant to damage, especially when arranged in scale or multi-layered formations designed to undergo Ablation.
Like any matter-based armor or protection it is more susceptible to damage by antimatter and high energy plasmas such as Aether.
