In YE 43, following the release of L'ulorsha Weave to Lux Aurora, the Cholegam Combat Suit was created to replace three different products that were in service prior. The Cholegam Combat Suit replaced the Voltan Environmental Suit, MERN Space Engineering Suit, and the Katis Combat Suit, all three of which were designed by the already defunct Myrmidon Corporation and had not aged well. Feedback was taken directly from soldiers in what was then the MERN on the failures of the designs that were being phased out, between that information and the experience of Aerum Eitan in having designed most of the recent versions of the Krysis Crixa Power Armor, the Cholegam Combat Suit was the result. In YE 46, slight modifications were made in anticipation for the move to the Kagami Galaxy.

The Cholegam Combat Suit combines both aesthetic and function. It combines the function of combat gear, work gear and an environmental jumpsuit. It is easily created in fabrication systems found on most U.N.N ships and facilities. Its material appears glossy and form-fitting, adhering closely to the wearers' bodies for enhanced mobility. Glowing Teal lines run along the suit, creating a striking visual contrast with the dark, almost metallic black base. These luminescent accents outline muscle groups and house energy conduits and other built-in systems.

On the chest and shoulders, the armor is segmented with reinforced thin Standard Niranium interlocking plate and overlapping mesh panels lined with L'ulorsha Weave , which look both flexible and highly protective. The helmet is elaborate, with angular, smooth contours and a Transparent Niranium visor that emits a teal cyan light, obscuring the face entirely. The combat suit is both intimidating and elegant, blending combat readiness with an almost ceremonial style.

The combat suit is an acceptable Duty Uniform on most UNN Vessels and Facilities.

The Cholegam Combat Suit is designed to be easy to use, for the most part acting like an armored environmental suit. It is put on the same way that a multi-sectional jumpsuit would be. Glove sections are interlocked into the suit with a light twist and a self closing seal, the same with the boots. The utility belt and other additional attachments can be put on after the suit is already in place.

UNN crews do bi-monthly drills which require soldiers to put on the suit within two minutes. This layer is also interfaced with the mindhive to monitor biometrics and system information.

The Cholegam Combat Suit has a Damage Rating (Version 3) of Tier 3.

The Cholegam Combat Suit is built in layers in which can be modularly replaced as needed.

The innermost layer is an ASIEP/Activated Self-Sustaining Infusion Environment is a system based upon the manipulation of biosynthetically engineered Leviathan material. Rather than being grown into a Leviathan Husk, the cellular material, in a gel state, is held in canisters fed by a nanomechanical stimulation device which deploys nanomachines into the material to stimulate self-replication. The gel is circulated through the insulation membrane of the armor to provide biological scrubbing to refresh the internal atmosphere, maintain a cool temperature, and remove carbon dioxide and other contaminants including urine and feces. Processed wastes are then circulated into the power system and vaporized with any carbon residues collected and jettisoned into pouches in the leg sections.

During regular maintenance, the insulation membrane requires cleaning to remove any uncirculated material or carbon waste. ASIEP pouches integrated into the legs must be refilled from a stable purified culture of leviathan genetic material held within sterile lab conditions. Disassembly, Cleaning, and Replenishment of the ASIEP system takes approximately 30 minutes under ideal conditions.

The middle layers are made of layered L'ulorsha Weave(Type III) and Nanocomposite in a semi-flexible matrix capable of holding pressure. The suit's systems are integrated into the surface of this layer and are generally hidden in areas where the outer layer is embellished.

A small basic custom-bred Mindhive is integrated on the back of the suit beneath the back plate. This provides interface between the suit's systems and the wearer's Sthibon Symbiote. The suite includes integrated communications, external environmental and optical sensors, the internal biometric sensors, and connections to the ASIEP insert. The HUD is not externally projected, rather the data is translated through the symbiote giving the illusion of a HUD to wearer.

The unit includes rechargeable capacitor packs ¹⁾ which are hidden beneath the outer pauldron structures. The system can sustain the wearer for up to two days before the capacitors require replacement. The system is super-efficient, partially recharging the capacitors through the waste thermal energy produced by the AESIP and the body of the occupant. If the basic thruster pack is included it will have its own dedicated rechargeable capacitor system.

The outer layers are composed of thin Standard Niranium plate/shell with a nano-composite lining, and a final layer of L'ulorsha Weave(Type III) that provides additional protection to integrated systems. The helmet has a more solid non-flexible design with interlocking octagonal thin Standard Niranium sections to form a shell, The shell is insulated the same way that the armor is, and the visor is composed of Transparent Niranium.
