Niuta'a (Musician)

Within the Poku Saeruo Degonjo, the occupation of Musician is a respected and appreciated one. For many years after the Norka (The Exodus), Niuta'a were strictly amateurs, and not a sanctioned occupation. In 126 CY (YE -593 the Tanoi (Council) made Musician a legitimate occupation. Most Nuita'a are trained in at least two or more instruments. It is not required that they be able to sing, but some can for performances those that do not have a Tasba'a (Singer) accompanying them. Some gifted Nuita'a are also able to compose music pieces.
