The Galactic Horizon 7.62x51mm Sport Shot Hunting Rifle is one of the first products produced by Galactic Horizon, it is a rugged bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in the ever popular 7.62 x 51mm Ketsurui Zaibatsu rounds designed to accept GP-1 Assault Rifle magazines, it was designed and manufactured beginning in YE 40 before being released to the market early that same year.
It would be the first personnel-scale kinetic weapon manufactured by the small company, helping to put their name out there.
Galactic Horizon decided to go into firearms design and production in YE 40 for use by their security team, expeditionary forces and anybody willing to buy it. The weapon needed to be lightweight yet sturdy and durable, the simplicity of its bolt-action design as well as the usage of some popular components definitely helped achieve this goal. The sheer abundance of firearms already chambered in 7.62kz was tapped into rather than the obscure company deciding to come up with some new proprietary cartridge.

The Sport Shot is available with either a wooden or polymer hunting-style stock and is fairly generic save for the fairly pronounced receiver, which gives the whole package a somewhat jury-rigged appearance. It features a thick rubber recoil pad on the stock and some nice non-slip texturing on both the grip and handguard of the rifle, while by no means a masterwork it is still a fairly nice rifle with the Galactic Horizon logo stamped into each side of the magazine well. The bolt-handle, trigger guard, safety and magazine release are all slightly enlarged so that the rifle can easily accommodate thick gloves.
