The Arid Climate Suit (ACS) is a utility suit designed to counteract the heat of Planet Osman, built and designed by Galactic Horizon in YE 40 for use on the open market. This suit design was based off of that of the Cold Climate Suit although many assume this to be the predecessor of the CCS
An effective yet relatively simple suit designed to be a useful and affordable tool for anybody in an environment with heightened levels of heat, it is a single suit with included facial protection for the user. It is designed to have a somewhat protective exterior that protects the wearer from moderate damage, due to the fact it was built primarily with 188604 in mind with its various raider parties.
Planet Osman is a hostile place with harsh temperatures befitting it’s arid nature, the ACS was built to combat both these common ailments that plagued the inhabitants on a daily basis.
It is a relatively cheap and simple product that is available to the open market.

The Arid Climate Suit is a 3cm thick one-piece body suit with a somewhat riding, androgynous silhouette. The material it is made from most closely resembles a tan-coloured polyester that is lined with a series of tubes and connectors with the innermost layer being a grey mesh. The suit has a hood with a tight opening and a flap that covers the user’s lower face. It comes bundled with a polyester, microfiber face shield and a pair of anti-glare, anti-fog goggles, black boots and gloves that are removable, the fingertips of the gloves are conductive so they can work with the simple touchscreen interface on the left forearm. There is a long, magnetically sealed seam that runs vertically down the front of the suit.
The core of the suit is made up of a series of tubes hooked up to a pump on the back and a few small bioelectric generators that convert body heat into pumping power rather than venting it out as a traditional cooling system might. Coolant is run through the tubes in a loop with heat from that being radiated out the shoulders of the suit and a small cap at the base of the neck allows for coolant to be swapped out when it needs to be.
The tubes and pumps are arranged like the circulatory system of a human, more frequent and aggressive movements while wearing the suit result in the coolant being pushed through quicker via applied pressure to compensate for the built up in body heat.
The outermost layer of the suit is lined with a flexible polymer that has been woven with Stone Thread to provide an extra level of protection against bumps, scrapes and small arms fire.
The suit is loose fitting enough for a reasonable amount of clothing to be worn underneath, the non-bulky nature of the suit means that backpacks, vests and other bits of gear (the AUG for example) can be worn over the top.
The wearer undoes the seam at the front of the suit and steps into legs of the suit, they then pull into the sleeves and shrug the suit over their shoulders before closing the seam, simply reverse the process to take the suit off.
