Raijin was born around in YE 22 on Nepleslia. She lost her parents when she was very young and went to live with her aunt in Yamatai. When she was old enough, she decided to join the Star Army. During basic training, Raijin met 4 girls who would become her best friends in the world. The five of them, though all different occupations, requested similar assignments.
Over the next few years they mostly were able to be together, but even when they had different assignments they kept in touch. Finally, in YE39 they all made it back together when they were assigned to the YSS Wakaba.
In late YE39 Raijin, along with the whole Wakaba were lost to space. In the ensuing battles that were fought, Raijin's fighting skill came to the attention of Joto Heisho Setsunu Meiosei, leader of the renowned Angels of Death. Setsunu asked Raijin to join the Angels, an honor that Raijin quickly jumped on.
